Frequently asked questions

Consular registration is highly recommended and important: it auto-fills your information on every order, enables you to obtain the consular card, and allows the consulate to reach you in case of an emergency abroad. However, consular registration is optional for most orders — you can still submit them without a consular number, and certain services (such as appointment bookings, burial permits and dead transport permits) can also be used by non-registered citizens or non-Mauritanian nationals.

Yes. You authenticate once with Khidmaty (the national digital identity) and stay connected for a full day. If your session is lost, you will be asked to log in again and will return to the same page automatically.

Each service has a "Track order" button that opens its tracking page. Search by tracking number, national number or passport number to see the current status and the full history of your order.

Each service card has a "More info" button listing the required documents, and the order form itself shows which uploads are needed step by step.

Pending: your order was received. Verification: it is being reviewed. Processing: the document is being prepared. Processed: your document is ready for download. Rejected: the order was refused and the reason is shown in your order history.

When your order is "Processed", open the tracking page and press "Download signed document". The PDF is official, includes the consulate seal and signature, and carries a QR code for verification.

Most documents are delivered online. For example the power of attorney is completed fully remotely. For some services (for example the consular card) you may still need to attend in person — the instructions in your order will tell you.

The rejection reason is added to your order history. You can submit a new order with the required corrections.
